Wand: Surprisingly swishy Hawthorn with a phoenix feather core
"Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain!"
. . . Wrong wizard, but it's a good description of Meg. Lurking just out of sight of the audience, Meg is a professional stage manager who first turned her technical hand to improvised theatre with the Soothplayers in April 2016. Controlling the lights and sound, Meg works to provide atmospheric underscoring to support the talented mayhem onstage. She got sucked into the world of HP in 2001 when she read all of the first four books in a single week, and nobody who knows her is at all surprised that she ended up in Ravenclaw.
When she's not conjuring up wizardly special effects, Meg can be most likely found at the Arts Centre as resident stage manager for Melbourne-based musical theatre company The Production Company, or out on the bay on the tall ship Enterprize as a member of its crew. You can also catch her behind the lighting desk in the Soothplayers' 'Completely Improvised Shakespeare'.
